Terry was an avid Duke fan and enjoyed debating with anyone who wasn’t and he had a great sense of humor while doing  it. Besides being a Duke fan, he loved foosball and as a younger man loved to compete. He was a very compassionate and caring man with a generous heart who would stop to help a stranger if he could.

When it came to animals, he would provide for them even if he had to do without. When him and his life partner moved outside of Grifton, he brought with him a number of stray cats, adopted some more ferals and began adopting his dogs. All of which he loved more than anything. Terry was a dedicated worker and gave his all to maintaining a good work ethic. If something needed to be done, there wasn’t much that would stop him. He knew lots of people, most times could not go somewhere without running into a familiar face, whether it was from his youth, work, or places he enjoyed going, there was always someone he recognized.

Terry will be deeply missed by all who knew him.  He was loved in life by his family, friends, and neighbors and the memories each carry with them will keep him alive, as he is forever etched in our hearts. Our hearts are broken now but are truly thankful that the Lord has made his body pain free and healthy again. We know he is now in heaven with his mom and dad and playing with his dog Bull. The grief we feel is our price we pay for having him in our lives and loving him so.
